If you’re looking for a place to get top notch alterations done, look no further than NYC Alterations! This family-owned business has fantastic customer service and impeccable attention to details. My daughter and I were panicking when we received her Prom dress less than two weeks before Prom. NYC Alterations was a lifesaver, was able to squeeze us in, and have the Prom dress finished a few days before the big event. My daughter and I were extremely pleased with the alterations—my daughter received so many compliments on her Prom dress! I highly recommend this place and have let family, friends, and coworkers know that NYC Alterations is the BEST in Lakeland, Florida.

Sabrina and her Mom run this really amazing alterations shop. I originally went in a little wary of a perfect rating. But the business is above and beyond 5 stars. Having over 20+ years of experience, definitely shows when you bring in an item completely sized wrong and they are able to fit it perfect to your body. As if the item was made for you. I had one short wedding gown, which they added my belt pieces on. I also brought my official wedding gown, that was a whole size too small, and a couple inches too long , they added cups and a belt to the dress.(I provided the belt). It is now perfect and fits without even noticing anything was done to it.

I also sent in my fiancé for his suit fitting, they turned a $300 set into a tailor made suit. They can adjust aspects of a suit, not commonly done by other tailors. It is well worth the price. I promise.

Best part is, they’re very time efficient, and amazingly friendly. I gained a friend, while having impeccable service. Thank you!

The folks at NYC Alterations did a fantastic job crafting my then-fiancé's shirt and suit for our wedding. He needed a particular sizing that we just couldn’t find, so we got the closest thing and brought it here. This family-owned and run business is so warm and welcoming and they do such great work, we ended up going out that very day after the initial suit fitting to get a shirt so they could work on that, too. They essentially deconstructed the suit and shirt we bought and reconstructed it to my husband’s needs so that he basically ended up with a tailor-made suit for our wedding. And he looked fantastic! Our whole family will definitely be using their services again and recommending to anyone who will listen. Such amazing service!

We purchased a suit online and tried to do the measurements ourselves that way the suit would come in tailored, it went horribly wrong, and the suit came in extremely oversized. NYC saved the day, and my husband looked amazing for our wedding! The fabric wasn’t like any standard suit fabric, it was tweed And I was super worried. They did an amazing job!

The seams from hemming the dress and making the sleeves fit better are flawless! I would recommend for wedding dress alterations! The “floor length” alteration is honestly maybe a little too short for a wedding dress but that’s my only complaint and I can work around it! They also got it done very quickly in the few weeks time frame that I needed.

I had a great experience. I went to several locations and no one was able to help me with my salsa costume. He completely created my costume from scratch and I was able to perform with my team. They were very helpful and very professional. I recommend it!! Thank you!

The work they did on my daughter's prom dress was phenomenal! It was a mermaid style dress that was difficult to walk in and needed significant hemming. They created a slit and made the necessary alterations, so the dress fit her perfectly. The employees are so kind, and you can tell they love what they do. I would highly recommend this business for any alterations that you need.
